Being a referee can be a hard job. No matter how skilled, no matter how dedicated, and no matter how fair you may be, the majority of football fans are still going to hate you. Having said that, it’s vitally important to find humor admist such stressful circumstances.

This man does that…

I’m sure some of you have already seen this, but for those who haven’t, I think it’s quite a treat to watch.

On a final note, I’m Connor and I’ll be writing for the Referee section in addition to the USA Blog.

He is a Brazilian referee named Margarida which means Daisy in Portuguese. He passed away in the 90s from AIDS, but was quite the celebrity in Brazil, apparently.
